My name is Calypso Upham, the owner and primary educator at Arizona Eyelash Academy. I was born and raised in the desert city of Tucson, Arizona. Despite having over 6 years of experience in the beauty industry, My journey began in retail management, where I honed my skills in customer service and business operations in order to transition skillsets to fulfill my dream of being an entrepreneur. My true passion was ignited when I 1st experienced lash extensions for myself, 11 years ago. The moment I got my first classic set, I was captivated—not only by the transformation in my own appearance but also by the newfound ease in my morning routine and a significant boost in my overall confidence through lashes. Fast forward to now being a volume lash girlie and and being eager to introduce others to the benefits of having lash extensions.

I quickly recognized my fascination with lash artistry, and in 2018, I decided to take a leap of faith and invest in a course, but more importantly, myself. I was eager to learn and determined to master the craft however, my initial year in the industry was challenging; I felt like I was speaking a foreign language, struggling to create sets I loved in a timely manner while navigating the complexities of finding the right supplies, I knew there had to be a better way. Through relentless dedication, education, and countless trials, I was able to discover techniques and methods that streamlined my process and elevated my artistry.
